Subject of Course Project:
The main subject of this course project to be pursued is finding better suited and utilizing shelter management software.
Business problem statement:
The problem is currently Animal Rescue Organization’s all work off of different software programs or none at all to manage the inflow and outtake of animals and this leads to a major disconnect between organizations that could otherwise improve efficiency. If efficiency is improved it can then lead to happier, healthier animals who then can find new homes more quickly.
Name of the company or organization:
Animal Rescue Organizations
Brief description of proposed solution and general benefits it could provide:
Software existing as Shelter Manager currently exists; it’s a web-based program so opens it up as an online solution for all animal shelters that are online. The key difference in what is being proposed here is that this system will open up ‘inventory’ status of every shelter online with the system, dates on the animals thereby including end dates for them as well. This would also open up tracking people that turn in animals, primarily if they are abused then a national ‘do not adopt to’ list could be established and maintained nationwide based on this system. This is just a sampling of what is being proposed and put forward with such a system.
Audience to whom you are presenting the recommendations:
This is being presented to all animal rescue organizations and would also be good to be put forward to veterinarians as well. This type of system would benefit all parties involved.
